E-Government Development Index

The E-Government Development Index, published by UN DESA in the biennial UN E-Government Survey, scores all 193 UN Member States from 0 to 1 as the simple average of three normalised components: the Online Services Index, the Telecommunication Infrastructure Index and the Human Capital Index. For India it tracks how far the reach and quality of national online public services, connectivity and education keep pace with other countries. In the 2024 Survey India scored 0.6678 and ranked 97th of 193, up from 105th in 2022.
