Network Readiness Index

The Network Readiness Index, published by the Portulans Institute, scores economies from 0 to 100 on how well they are placed to use digital technologies, across four pillars: Technology, People, Governance and Impact (53 indicators in the 2025 edition). For India it tracks whether digital infrastructure, skills, institutions and economic outcomes are keeping pace with other economies. India ranked 45th of 127 economies with a score of 54.43 in the 2025 edition, up from 79th of 121 in 2019.
