UN peacekeeping contributions
UN Peacekeeping publishes a monthly ranking of countries by the number of uniformed personnel - troops, staff officers, military experts on mission and police - they have deployed to UN operations. It is a direct measure of a country's practical contribution to UN-led international security. India has ranked in the top five in every December ranking with printed ranks since 2001 and stood 3rd of 120 listed countries in February 2026, the latest month published.
